Simple Plan: Save You

Labels:

What originally inspired this song was Pierre's brother's battle with cancer. About 3 years ago, Jay was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphatic cancer. After 2 years of extremely difficult chemotherapy treatments, he learned that the cancer was gone for now and that he was in remission. After being told he had a 50-50 chance to come out of this alive, he had won his battle.

Because this happened to someone so close to us, we felt that, as a band, we had to do something to help. We had to get involved and use our voice to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

We wanted this video to tell his story and the ones of all cancer survivors. We want to show how strong people can be when facing adversity and hardship and how resilient the human mind and body can be. We wanted to relay a message of hope, survival and courage.

With the assistance of iTunes, Lava/Atlantic, and Warner/Chappell Music, all proceeds from each downloaded sale will be distributed to cancer charities around the world, through the Simple Plan Foundation. "Save You" - which is also found on our self-titled third studio album "Simple Plan" - can be purchased on Amazon by Clicking Here

Canadian enough?

Labels:

I've decided to change some feeds around - give it more of a "Canadian Touch" - adding CTV and Globe & Mail feeds! Oh yea, and, since i'm into Hockey - i threw that in too!

The new feeds are Movies, Music and Entertainment - anything with G&M or CTV, and the hocky feed, also from the Globe & Mail.

So, if that doesn't make me Canadian enough - i dunno what will.

Maybe a full blown new look - red and white :D lol. But, don't expect that anytime soon...i love this design right now :)

Ohhhhh yeaaaa....before i forget! If you didn't notice the "subtle Change" in the posts, here's the lowdown. i HATED ow it used to post as toxictunez. So, i changed to DJ Toxic. Plus, it'll help people find me again, cause, i've been from blog service to blog service, and, i must be hard to track down oO

BNL frontman Steven Page avoids jail time

Labels:

U.S. judge Thomas Morgan announced the deal in a Fayetteville, N.Y., courtroom Tuesday.
CTV's John Vennavally-Rao said prosecutors reduced the charges against Page from a felony to a misdemeanour. If Page seeks treatment and is able to stay clean, the charges could be dismissed.

Page, 38, faced drug possession charges along with his girlfriend, 27-year-old Christine Benedicto, and her roommate, 25-year-old Stephanie Ford. The two women were given the same deal.

"Based on each defendant's exemplary behaviour and positive attitude from the beginning, I fully expect in six months time this will be over, with each of the defendants ultimately benefitting from this painful experience," Page's lawyer, Mark Mahoney, said in a statement.
"Once the charges are finally dismissed, there will be no legal obstacle to Mr. Page entering the United States like any other Canadian citizen."

The trio was charged in July after police found cocaine in the women's apartment in Fayetteville, which is about 15 kilometres east of Syracuse, N.Y. Police said they became suspicious when they saw a vehicle parked in front of the apartment with its driver-side door open. When officers knocked on the door, Page and Ford invited the officers in, police say.
Court documents show Ford admitted to police that she and Page had snorted what she believed was cocaine, using a rolled up Canadian bill. Documents also cite Page as telling the police, "Yeah, it's cocaine."

Police say Page had about a third of an ounce of cocaine in the apartment, along with some marijuana. The Juno-award winning band's fame first came with their hit "If I Had a Million Dollars." Their most recent project was a children's album titled "Snack Time."
Page is a father of three.

New TV!

Labels:

I bet most of you were begining to wonder when i was gonna start posting about Canadian TV shows. The time has officially come! These are some shows from Canada that will be airing! I cannot guarantee that the shows will "Cross borders" - but, sometimes they do! For example, the first show "Testees" - showing on FX in the U.S.A and ShowCase up here in Canada.

If you do happen to live outside of Canada - and, 1 of the shows i do feature is showing where you are - PLEASE LET ME KNOW so i can fix the list :)

You can send me info about Channel names, Show times and the "Schedule" of the show by emailing me: DJTOXIC [AT] shaw [DOT] ca thanks guys, and, i will do my best at keeping ya up to date about all the shows featured - ANYTIME!

Testees:
A new series from the strange mind of Kenny Hotz (Kenny Vs. Spenny) has 2 real-life guinea pigs - Canadian Newcomer, Steve Markle and Jess Kassel - earning their living as test subjects for a "less-than-acceptable" product testing facility. Each week, the "Testees" get an experimental product - or, medication - to try out with off-the-wall, and mostly negative results. Perhaps the best thing that can be said is that animals are not involved.

Showing on:
Showtime (Canada) - Tuesdays
FX (U.S.A) - Thursday
Check local listings for show times

The Guard:

Back for a second season, this original Canadian production follows the Port Hallet coast guard as they rescue folks in danger on the seas, and try to keep their personal lives in order. The premiere episode sees Miro (Steve Bacic) breaking the rules when he tracks a battered trawler in order to rescue it's passengers, who are victims of a human trafficking operation. Joining the crew this season are Sonya Salomaa (Durham County) and Roger Cross (24)

Showing on:
Global TV (Canada) - Wednesdays

If for some reason you are outside of Canada, and can't watch the guard - you can actually go to the official Global TV site (http://www.globaltv.com/globaltv/globalshows/theguard/video.html) and watch it there! If ya can't view the site - try torrents! There are a few good sites out there you can use to find it, along with many other Canadian shows that still haven't crossed the borders!

October 27, 2008

Labels:

It's been awhile since my last post, i know. I'm back though! I've added TONS of new music - so much that it's actually hard to compile a list. However, i'm gonna! I did a massive overhaul on the weekend. I was just getting sick of some of the mainstream music i had. (Yea, i actually have 2 music folders on my hard-drive...podcast and mainstream, as well as the comedy folder in the podcast folder.) I got rid of 40 gigs of mainstream stuff, and, added about half that in new music for the podcast. What's been added? For starters, more Canadian music :D Most of it, actually.

I want to also thank the labels that have responded to my latest emails! Hardwood Records & Blocks Recording Club you might've heard of Hardwood Records if you're Canadian, and into Hayden! A Big thank you guys for jumping on board! Be sure ya check 'em out - i'll have banners ASAP!

Onto the list of what's been added this week!

  1. Apathy: a hip-hop act from Willimantic (Connecticut) Ap started “taking this rap shit seriously”, and a few short years later, Ap made his debut on wax, appearing on three tracks on Jedi Mind Tricks critically acclaimed underground debut “The Psycho Social” LP in 1996. But it wasn’t until 1998 that Apathy graduated from guest artist to solo artist. With an initial show-stealing verse on an Eddie Ill and D.L. freestyle, Apathy soon followed suit with several incredible solo singles including “Compatible”, “Just Begun”, “School”, and “Ain’t Nuttin’ Nice”, each released through Bronx Science Records. Linking up with Celph Titled, a former employee of Bronx Science’s distributor, Buds, Apathy helped form the Demigodz crew, which also included strong underground acts such as 7L & Esoteric, El Fudge, Louis Logic, Rise, Open Mic, and others. You can check him out by Clicking Here
  2. April Wine: Classic rock Canadian band that are still touring and making albums 30 years down the road! They have been a staple up here in Canada (Much like Loverboy) since they first broke on the scene in 1969. According to the band they chose the name ‘April Wine’ simply because it was two words that sounded good together. The band would go on to release over 20 albums and forge a live performance reputation that sees them still drawing devoted crowds across Canada and around the world 37 years after taking their first steps into the hard rock spotlight. You can check them out by Clicking Here
  3. Bran Van 3000: An electronic band that hit it big with their hit "Drinking In L.A" in 1998. They have since released 2 more CD's ("Discosis", and "Rose") But, they are still going! You can check them out by Clicking Here
  4. Broken Social Scene: Broken Social Scene: Juno award winning, indie rock superband formed in 1999 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They're a combo between rock, pop...almost eveything clashed together. They're actually "Baroque Pop" - they are AWESOME! They have released 4 Albums and a TON of EP's and Singles! You can check them out by Clicking Here
  5. Buck 65: This guy is awesome! He's got a big music background, and, like others, blends his musical genre's together! He has gone from a hip-hop sound, to a more pop and rock-ish sound, but, you can still hear his hip-hop background in everything he does! Halifax born, he gives a good name to what ya can do musically, and still "Stay true" to the music scene, and pushes the envelope! You can check him out by Clicking Here
  6. Classified: Luke Boyd, known professionally as Classified, is an underground Canadian rapper and producer from Enfield, Nova Scotia. His 2005 album Boy-Cott-In the Industry reached #46 on SoundScan's Canadian R&B charts. His singles "The Maritimes", "5th Element" and "No Mistakes" were all Top 20 hits on MuchMusic and MTV Canada that year. His video for "No Mistakes" won an MMVA for MuchVibe Best Rap Video. Boy-Cott-In the Industry earned him a Juno Award nomination for Rap Recording of the Year in 2006,[1] and Hitch Hikin' Music resulted in a second one in 2007. You can check him out by Clicking Here
  7. The New Pornographers: a Canadian indie rock supergroup formed in 1997 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Their sound is highly influenced by such power pop bands as The Cars and Cheap Trick. Carl Newman, who writes most of the band's material, has said, "When I seriously started to try to write songs, my main influences were, like, Burt Bacharach, Jimmy Webb, and Brian Wilson. Those were the guys I kinda looked at their music and went, 'What the hell are they doing here?' I was just fascinated by the structures and the harmonics."[1] The melody of the first and eponymous track on their second album Electric Version, for instance, begins with an arpeggiated diminished triad—a rare and strange opening flourish for a pop song. You can check them out by Clicking Here
Other notable adds include: Copywrite, The Kaiser Chiefs, & Tokyo Police Club

Am I really a pest?

Labels:

I'm getting really tired...but, to me, i think it's worth it. Tell me what you think!

A couple days ago, i wiki'd Canadian Record Labels. (If ya don't wanna try it, i've done the work for ya, go Here) I feel like a pest! I feel like 1 of those spammers, cause, i wrote a letter in wordpad...and, now, it's just copy and paste. So, now, i'm doing this entry here - cause, i included the link in the note. And, just on the "Off Chance" that i do happen to get a few labels, i want them to know that it was me, and it's actually not just random. You wouldn't believe how many times that's happened to me!

I'm getting really good at this whole promoting though...i think so anyways. There's still A LOT for me to learn however. 2 years at an online radio station just showed me a little bit of the ropes. Believe it or not, i'm also beginning to wonder if my blog entries suck too. Yes, i know...can i get anymore self-concious? Let me try and explain.

Whoa....i almost typed palin....LMAO. Damn you SNL!

I was watching TV lastnight....watching back episodes of "Lab With Leo" - cause, G4 cancelled his show for some stupid reason. They only did 180 some shows. But, anyways...Kate mentioned something about a website called copyblogger.com, and got into a little bit of what it was about. I checked it out today - and, just a little bit of what i read, i learned a little bit. Hard to believe for a guy that's really got no brain until i need it oO

I just wanna write a little bit better - to keep everyone "Entertained" - i'm trying to be grammatically correct - and, more importantly, i'm gonna try and stop doin' the "Ummm" stuff when i have nothing to say! Just let it flow naturally, and, wait til i have something to fill the "ummm" space up :D

So, this should be fun! *cough*

I wonder how the hell Kelly does it lol.

Air Farce Live

Labels:

For nearly 3 decades combined on Radio and TV, Air Farce has provided serious laughs to Canadians coast to coast! Their unforgettable characters, take on news, and the cast in general will never be forgotten. This season, they take their "Final Flight" in a Live format! Surprisingly, it worked really well, too! No doors refused to open, no lights exploded in the middle of a sketch, no pants fell down – all the things that could happen in live tv. Okay, we had a few glitches… and two of them are on this DVD. Check out Jessica and Craig trying to keep a straight face in “Cross Border Car Shopper” and “Prime Minister’s Choice”, and together with Penelope, they bravely press through to the end of “Vomit Virus”, even if Craig’s moustache doesn’t. As well as the live studio sketches, this collection includes some of our favourite Farce Films – digital shorts, shot on location, and played back live during the show. “Rink Widow” and “Indiana Jenkins” are instant classics.

And all the hot topics of the 2007/2008 are covered in Air Farce Live – the rise of the Canadian dollar, Barrack Obama’s emergence on the American scene, Amy Winehouse’s unstable behaviour, Sister Bessie’s Awards for parliament and politics, and the usual Air Farce mix of the highs and lows and just plain silly.

Now, you can remember the entire cast - even when they say goodbye at the end of this season with this DVD! You'll be in stitches, and, will watch it again and again!

October 23 Update!

Labels:

It is now officially going on 6am, and, thanks to the Diet Dr. Pepper, i'm still up! YEA! lol. I've updated the site quite a bit, so, let's get down to what's new and notable!

  1. Weekly CD: I've now put up a thing on the right hand side of the site for this! This is gonna be one of the more "awesome" things i've added. The name basically says it all. Every week, i will put up a new CD that i can't get enough of! These will be from music that is on the podcast - sometimes new releases, sometimes old. You'll never know! But, this will be the 1 section where LOWEST PRICES WIN! So, for those of you like me on a budget - pay attention :P
  2. News feeds: To save me the hassle of typing everything, and because i suck at wording - feeds from CTV, TMZ, Rolling stone and MSNBC have been brought in! So, you'll see CD Reviews, Movie reviews, Entertainment headlines and the like all appear here! ALL RSS Feeds are located on the RIGHT HAND SIDE! If ya like reading...you'll love these!
  3. Syndication: Links to favourite me on your favourite reader and/or site for bookmarks couldn't be easier! Right now, you can add me to sites like, Podnova, Odeo, Google, Windows Live and MSN. ALSO: Links for podcatchers such as Zune and iTunes have been added there as well! So, basically, it's point and click! More will come - let me know what ya use, and, i'll put it up!
  4. Links have been moved: All links have been moved over to the Left hand side now - to accommodate all the RSS feeds. So, HAHA!
That's all i can think of right now! I honestly believe there'll be more to come....especially if the whole nightowl thing keeps up again! oO

Let me know what ya think guys!

~Toxic

Labels:

Hey guys - if ya couldn't figure it out, episode 105 is now up, and ready to be listened to/downloaded/streamed!

In the next few hours, i'll have a more simple way of subscribing up! It'll be called "Feeds" or something, and, all ya have to do is click a button for your desired program/web app, and, it'll do the "hard work" for ya!

Well, not the 2 week break i would've wanted, but, a break nonetheless! Making up for the 2 weeks off is the first episode of 2 of "unscheduled" shows. That's right - 2 unscheduled, including the 1 on Saturday! 3 new shows this week! Aren't ya guys in luck, eh? On the show this week is a truly Canadian touch. 3/4's of the songs are Canadian! David Usher, Jann Arden, Billy Talent, Econoline Crush, Blue Rodeo, The Tragically Hip and K-os among others! Also, there's a little bit of 'twang this week as well - i threw in 2 country songs to give it "flavour" - a song from Paul Brandt, and 1 from Adam Gregory. Both great homegrown talent!

The NEW Website is FINALLY up as well! Make sure ya visit and bookmark: http://toxicast.blogspot.com where you'll find news from the podcast, new release CD's as well as
playlists from the recent shows! And, try to make a small donation if ya can using paypal - as we all know i don't get "paid" to do this!

October 22, 2008

Labels:

w00t! Continuing with the whole "Building on the site" - i have now decided to post playlists of the shows on here! This is where you'll find the episode's playlist. Just go to the "Playlists" label, and, tah dah! Now, i won't do it for back episodes up to this point - but, i will post 'em all as of now!

Clicking on the song name/band will bring ya to the place to buy the CD @ amazon. Let me know if ya guys want direct links to the AmazonMP3 - if there's enough people in the U.S that want this feature, i'll bring it in!

In some cases, there won't be a CD - so, you'll be transferred to iLike.com to view the artist page! Don't worry - that won't happen that often! If the band does have a store on their website, it'll link to that place! :)

Episode 105: Sea Of No Cares Playlist

Advertisers now brought in

Labels:

Yep guys, i brought in some advertising now. Most of ya are prob'ly wondering why the hell i decided to advertise Napster...Well, let me explain so ya don't wonder anymore! :P

The reason i brought Napster on board was for the simple fact that they are about music. Most of you in the U.S. now know that Napster offers DRM free MP3's when you're a member. They phased out the DRM wma files earlier in the year. Yes, i know that us in other countries are still waiting for that day to come - but, Napster has gone on record to say that other markets will get the DRM free tracks sometime in 2009, or, a little before :)

So, yea - DRM-free is the way to go, and, i really do wish other stores (Such as iTunes), would get on the boat and follow suit. You'd think iTunes would've been the first to go about and do that - i guess they kinda were with the iTunes Plus...but, wowwww....that didn't even come close to what i thought it woulda been. I mean, come on Steve! You guys are SUPPOSED to be leaders.

But, if you guys aren't up for the whole napster thing - check out Amazon! They have independent music as well as TONS of Canadian Talent! And, there's gonna be more to come! Think CD Baby - the BEST place for independent CD's - as well as more! So, stay tuned!

Electric Six returns with their fourth album; another one filled with songs mostly about nothing, but damn, if it isn't enjoyable. Songs cover everything from their preferred cleaning solution, "Formula 409" to the tribulations of being a "Graphic Designer" to a throwback to their debut album "Fire" with "Gay Bar Part Two". Unclassifiable, this group blends sounds and influences from glam, funk, rock, disco, punk, new wave, and metal.

Added: October 20, 2008

Labels:

Yay! I've made another appearance! Well, i've been busy today - getting some new music added to the rotation of what you can expect to hear! There will be another post tonight ASAP about new CD Releases as well - since Tuesday is the day we all know and love! Anyway, on to the new music

  • Bif Naked: Canada's own punk/rock princess has returned with her Juno award winning sound! Her 2005 CD, Superbeautifulmonster is in stores now (And, really easy to find if you're Canadian.) Even though there has been no new stuff from the band for quite some time, 4 of her albums (Bif Naked, I Bificus, Purge and Superbeautifulmonster) have made their way to the podcast!
  • Blue Rodeo: What do i have to honestly say about these guys, other than Simply BRILLIANT! Country-Rock crooners blue Rodeo, backed by none other than Jim Cuddy, have made their debut! Over a span of 20 years and counting, they have released 12 CDs, 1 Greatest hits compilation, and TONS of #1 hits, videos, and the Juno awards to boot. Their newest CD released earlier last year, "Small Miracles" has spawned 3 hits "C'mon", "3 Hours Away" & "This Town"
  • Constantines: An indie rock band from Canada. Not that highly known (And, neither is the label.) They have been labeled as, "Art-Punk", and were formed out of the breakup of Bryan Webb and Doug MacGregor's band, Shoulders. They have been compared to such acts as The Clash, Fugazi, Bruce Springsteen, The Replacements, and Nick Cave.
  • Dyonisis: To prove that i really AM global, comes Dyonisis. Out of Sheffield, UK, these Gothic rockers will BLOW YOU AWAY! I could not say this any better, so, let's let Ravenheart Music do it for me :) "...Sheffield based DYONISIS are fronted by Nel Cave and Lou Welsby. This CD by Dyonisis is cool atmospheric rock, and I love it!. This is not really a CD to headbang too, but you could find yourself chilling out to it."
  • Of Montreal: Don't let the name fool you. They are NOT from Montreal, but, rather a play on a girl from montreal (Who the band is named after.) A really unique sound for a band that comes out of the U.S. They sound almost like The Beatles, with a little more..."oomph" to them.
  • Poe: ...has found her way back to the podcast. This is the 2nd Gothic add this week. Shades of Tori amos and sarah mclachlan ooze from her...but, with a very unique add with the voice of hers. If ya haven't checked her out, make sure ya do! She'll be a constant staple here!
  • K-os: Canadian Hip-Hopper/Rapper has emerged yet again. Joyful Rebellion made him a HUGE fan base here...and, has broken a little bit of ground amongst the mainstream acts in the U.S. Not widely known, he brings a unique sound only Canada could bring to hip-hop and rap. With wicked beats, and awesome, powerful lyrics, he's spawned such hits as "Man i used to be", "Crabbuckit" and "Crucial" - sounds almost like a male rihanna :D

haha...hmm...does this sum it up? I dunno...

LAZY-ness Following? lol.

Labels:

holy shit, am i ever tired guys. Yea, i know - i promised a podcast this weekend....that didn't happen (I mentioned a little bit of why the other day)...so, i will push out an episode during the week - as well as the scheduled one...so, there will be 2 new ones by next sunday - i swear to...well, i promise! :D

I've been watching movies and documentaries all day today. Started with a really "Lame" one - Are we done yet - which culminated into the Dixie Chicks documentary, "Shut up & Sing" - really good too! I dunno...something about a political uproar i LOVE!!! lol. But, i liked them before - i LOVE them more now! Something about seeing music documentaries and behind the scenes stuff that actually gets me more into the music. i wish EVERY band would do that - but, i've only seen a couple now. It's the same way with concerts - both seeing them live, and watching them on DVD. I guess i'm just weird like that. But, honestly guys - if ya haven't seen that documentary, it's really worth it. It follows them for 3 years, after Natalie made that comment about Bush in the UK...and, how that sparked the 2006 album, and all the...tribulations that followed. I guess that's the right word. If i can find it, i'll actually post a link :)

Hey! Come on now! It's still music! Even though they are "mainstream" :P

Suck it up! lol

ummmm.....yea, moving on! oO

I need some followers of this blog! So, i'll be on the hunt today - whenever the hell i decide to come back on. Seriously guys, if you've never pulled a 15 hour before - try it, and, then, come back on the computer for a little bit...does NOT do the eyes good. They really do look like oO...prob'ly more like this though (O)___(O)

That so reminded me of the Family guy episode i saw the other day lol. Brian recieves an award for his poem or story or something, and they go to martha's vineyard. Brian makes a move on Lois...and, then, when brian's on the phone with stewie, they do a flashback of stewie at a grateful dead concert wiggin' out on...whatever the hell he's on

LMAO!!!

How the hell did we get on THAT topic now. God - be glad i don't have a mic yet ya guys, cause, i could do a really random and odd...pod.

hahaha

that rhymed!

wow - ok...i obviously cannot do this anymore right now :D

So, ok - become a follower of my blog guys! Like i said...earlier...i'll be making my rounds on blogger tonight when i get back on! I really should have that damn blogger bar up top of my blog to make that kinda thing...how do ya say? EASIER? Yea...that's the word. But, meh - i'll just go random! And, if i follow you guys - please, if ya find me or the podcast interesting - follow me! :D

Well, that's it for me....for now. Ya know i'll be back sometime! I'm gonna be figuring out what else to add to this site to make it more...exciting. So exciting in fact, you're gonna need a few paper towels for all the drool you'll be spillin'!

I should go before i get any stupider. Cause, i'm honestly thinking i'm funny right now.

That's when ya know i have ISSUES!!!

lol.

Episode 105 coming tonight!

Labels:

hey all! Hope you're enjoying the site a little bit now :) Anyways, i wanted to do a news post about the latest show - so, here goes!

Episode 105 will hopefully be up tonight sometime. I'm still up - which means, i can't sleep yet. I'm getting there though! There's been a lot of....drama....here to say the least. Stuff i'm not even gonna get into. Hopefully though, it'll be semi-quiet today when i wake up, i can put together the episode. I know i missed out last week - and, this is still sorta why.

Don't think i've disappeared though!

I am working on getting new music lined up for this week's episode. Tara Oram is one of the main ones i'm working on...but, it's gonna be a pain in the ass - literally! And, there will of course be more! So, stay tuned!

I'll do a complete "wrap up" when the show is posted tonight - so, be on the lookout for that!

Anyways guys - it's time for me to try and hit the hay!

DJ Toxic here again - and, that can only mean 1 thing - and 1 thing only! We are LAUNCHED! I wanna take this time to thank Everyone who helped me with getting this site up and running, and helping make this site what it is. First off to Kelly @ Design Bug - thanks for the design! You helped me most. Almost 2 days of your time - and, being sick on top of that. For also helping me figure out how the hell to get the columns working proper. For also helping me with all the graphics - and, just overall everything! Thanks again Kelly! Couldn't have done this without ya! Also, for Joey....even though ya didn't help me with that much - ya still helped with looking things over, and, helping me get outta my shitty mood today. Without that last one, this site wouldn't have come together and be finished for about another week! And, lastly - the bands...the artists...the fans....without the support from any of you - the podcast could never be! Thank you for allowing me to do what i love the most - radio - well....whatever lol.

Now on to the news. More features are in the works right now...actually, more like ideas for features. There will be more categories, and, you will see them soon! But, as it stands - i need more entries :) Categories you will find other than the "Site" one include music news, podcast news, Artist of The Month...the list could go on lol. Other things coming soon include an email form for bands to fill out telling me about ya! (Fans can also use this form to submit bands they come across as well!)

Ideas are limitless - they come to me in my sleep oO. But, every day, there'll be something new! Bookmark the site - and keep coming back!

Other than that - DONATE! Please? I don't make any money running this site - or, the podcast - other than by donation! Every little bit helps! So, please make a contribution!

And, take the short survey by clicking on the "Listener Survey" - it's Fast to do, and easy to fill out! None of these answers are shared - and, you will NEVER get any junk mail! It is run by Podtrac.com and helps me to make the podcast better.

Any of these 2 things - or both - help me out more than you can imagine!

Anyways guys...i'm sick, and should prob'ly head to bed soon. I just wanted to post an entry telling you that it is mostly done - and, about things to come. So, bookmark us! And, soon - subscribe to the blog! And, i'll do a post when the next podcast is up and running!

ALMOST…Up & Running!

Well – I figured, “What the hell, I may as well set it up and get an idea of how to blog with Blogger!” Needless to say…it was a little time consuming to say the least. I guess it would’ve helped some if i didn’t spend about a year and a half away from the “Blogosphere” – oh yea, and also if i had maybe started with Blogger a little after i left my previous host! PHEW!

At 4:20am (hah…go figure!), i decided to play around a little bit, and get familiar with the whole way of doing things here – and, get a feel for the temporary feel – and, how to post. So, i looked for a template to set up (long story short: I basically was looking for something with 3 columns that would, at the very least of things, give me a better feel for how things will turn out, and, hopefully – just maybe – to set some things up BEFORE the new look went up.)

So, i did happen to find a 3 column – but, holy crappers people! I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to upload the images from the template to the blog *smash, clang…sigh* I now sense it’s gonna take a few days, and, more than a few posts to get used to this whole blog world again. I am NOT looking forward to that! But, i guess it’s all about learning something new, eh?

But, fear not my fellow….fans? (Wonders if that’s what ya would call it, and, if i even have fans oO) I’m hoping that in the next week or two, the new design will come – and, following that all the lovely pages and other stuff that i have to fill in to “Fill the void” – will also arrive! Since i’m a little impatient – well, sorta – i simply gathered my head, and am deciding to semi-launch the site (Well, blog, whatever lol)

In the coming weeks, you can expect more to show up. I am gonna be experimenting with a few things i wanted to incorporate into the failed site – like, Artist Of The Month features, a simple pop up form that you can use to email me a form for your band…among other ideas that i seem to be getting all the time!

Oh yea – let’s not forget about posts now, eh?

Slowly – but, surely – you will start to notice new things pop up all the time! I will also be posting about new features, my progress…and, of course, all things Toxic.

So, keep your eyes open – and, if you’re wanting to follow the progress reports….or, simply show me some "”love” – follow this blog! it’s EASY! Most of the work will begin tomorrow night – depending on how my day looks tomorrow….maybe some things will happen before i leave in the afternoon!

Thanks for stopping by – and, last thing i wanna say…think of it kinda like a disclaimerL If this entry made little to no sense….too bad. You’re not gonna get “Quality” at 4:35am (wow…look at that! 15 minutes to post a…post! lmao)
